What’s up, I’m Riley.

3 years ago I was working as a software engineer and realized that sitting behind a desk and working on something that didn’t give me purpose wasn’t the life I wanted to live.

So I began writing online in an attempt to build an audience and start making some money in order to start living the life that I wanted.

At the time I only had two skills that I could teach people:

  1. How to code

  2. How to get in shape

My coding skills were aggressively average so that wasn’t happening, but health & fitness had grown into an obsession of mine over the last 8 years.

So the choice was obvious.

After 6 months of posting daily I was able to sign a few clients that covered my monthly expenses. With just enough money coming in each month, I quit my software engineering job to go all in.

A few months after burning the bridge from my 9-5 I had a conversation with Kevin, another coach I connected with on Twitter (@askcoachkev). He was looking for someone to help with fulfillment for his coaching program. At the time it was a no brainer to me, I got to help people change their lives and have a consistent stream of money coming in.

Fast forward to today and that conversation with someone I met on Twitter turned into a partnership. To date we’ve done over 7 figures through out health & fitness coaching business, helping over 600 people lose anywhere from 10 to 100 pounds.

These days my primary focus in the business is ensuring that we deliver the best coaching program possible—making it as simple & easy as possible for people to get (and stay) in the best shape of their life.

I also do some consulting work on the side—primarily email copywriting & website building.

That's how I make my money right now.

But here’s why I’m starting this newsletter:

I’ve always believed that getting in shape is the easiest way to start living a better life. It’s one of the few areas of life that’s entirely under your control. It's a you vs you game. And when you commit to the process, see improvement in your health, you start to seek improvement in all areas of your life.

That’s what I want for everyone who reads this newsletter—to get in great shape, start seeking improvement in all aspects of your life, and build the life you want.

If that sounds good to you, welcome aboard.
